Welcome to the Rainy Season in the Philippines!
Greetings from the rainy, cool season here in the Philippines! I know summer is just getting started for you all back home, but here it’s been all rain and cooler days.
As always, Jen and I want to really thank you for praying for us and supporting us financially. We would not see this progress or these breakthroughs without your prayers!

Equipping Single Moms Through VA Training
Jen just finished her latest round of VA (virtual assistant) classes — we started this one with 200 students! We’re excited to keep fulfilling the calling on our lives to help and equip single moms find work they can do from home. We hope to share the number of women who land jobs from this with you soon.
Prayer Walks Through Tarlac
I’ve been going out walking most mornings around 5:30am. I really love these walks because I get to pray out loud, talking face-to-face with our Father as I cry out for the 450,000 people of Tarlac. My prayer is that in the New Jerusalem there will be a “Tarlac, Philippines” section, forever with Jesus and the Father.
As I walk, the Holy Spirit often shows me pictures of where I should go. One morning He led me through a squatters’ area known for drugs — a place I had prayed about going to for over six and a half years. When I first arrived in Tarlac, I asked my tricycle drivers which parts of the city I should never go. I knew exactly where those places were, and I prayed, “Father, send me to these people.”
People were surprised to see a white man walking through their neighborhood, and I was able to pray for many of them. While talking with a transgender person named Nicole, I got to share the gospel with her — and she called on our Lord to be bought by Him and forgiven for all her sins.

Divine Appointments
Two weeks ago I was at a graduation party at a local restaurant. One of the servers, KC, was highlighted by the Holy Spirit. As we talked, she told me about her beliefs and that she’s an active member of the LGBTQ community. I told her I understood, then spoke to her inner self — the part that needed cleansing by the blood of Jesus. KC accepted that offer of love and forgiveness. As she prayed, I watched the Holy Spirit cleanse her soul and enter her. Her eyes filled with tears, and I told her Jesus would now help her in every area of her life. Please pray for her — I promised I’d visit her again.
One more story: last week I was walking to the bank and sat down to rest. A man named June, wearing a checkered shirt and about 80 years old, sat next to me and started talking. Most Filipinos don’t strike up a conversation with a white stranger, but he poured out his heart and his life. At one point he told me his wife was a single mom for 15 years while he was in prison for shooting two men. I listened for about 20 minutes, then got to give him the great news of total forgiveness and love from the Father.

Another divine appointment along the road.
Partnering with Local Pastors
Another answer to prayer: I’ve been visiting Filipino families alongside local pastors. Pastor Francis and Nineo now plan to go out with me every two weeks. Please pray for much fruit from these visits.

VBS Outreach at Empower Church
Our local church, Empower, held a Vacation Bible School outreach — and it was such a beautiful sight. We believe 50 to 75 kids and parents were reached with the gospel. As of now, 10 to 15 of them are attending our Saturday follow-up and joining us on Sundays.

Growing Family
We have great news on the home front: our oldest son, Gaius, and his wife, LJ, are expecting a baby girl! I’ll be called “Lolo” (grandpa) soon. Please pray for them as they prepare for this wonderful gift to join their lives.
Building Update
Progress on our home has slowed because of the rain, but we’re pushing forward since we have the cash in hand. We hope to start digging the foundation and putting in the septic tank soon. We need to move out of our rented home in 20 months.
If you’d like to join us in building, here’s how:
