Just wanted to update you and ask for much prayer. Jen and I praise the Lord for the 110.00 dollars support that has come in, and we are over 100 people receiving our newsletter. Since Jen and I said yes to going to the Filipino people, the Lord continues to provide direction, encouragement and hope thru many people.
We just got news that a person has hired a lawyer to sue me (Wendell) for alleged damage to their credit and possibly loss of income. I was also informed that this person is seeking an injunction to prevent me from leaving America to move to the Philippines.
The Lord has given me three scriptures to encourage me and grow my faith: (1) Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against me will prosper”; (2) Hebrews 13:6 "The Lord is my helper, I will not fear, what can man do to me" and (3) 1Thessalonians 2:18 God wants me to move to the Philippines yet satan is trying to stop us. So we need your prayers that the Lord would bless this person who is doing this and we would stand and see the Lord lead us out of the enemies’ hand and that our faith and trust in Jesus would grow. I battle fear and thinking of the worst. I have always been a very transparent believer, some days I have victory over this and the thoughts that assault me, other times not so much.
Thank you for your prayers that no matter what happens Jesus will be honored and glorified in Jen's and my life.
