Zoe Perissos Ministry | Praise Letter | August 2023

Our city named Tarlac is a landlocked province of the Philippines located in the Central Luzon. Its capital is Tarlac City (where we live). Tarlac borders Pampanga to the south, Nueva Ecija to the east, Pangasinan to the north, and Zambales  to the west. That is why they call Tarlac as “THE MELTING POT”. Tarlac is a part of Central Luzon, which is composed of Pampanga, Bulacan, Bataan and Nueva Ecija.

I do not go to doctors nor do I take any medicines.  This has been MY belief, my faith and how I live.  I have never pushed this upon any other person. In fact, I have prayed for people with cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, and any other sickness, and they are healed. If they are taking medicines for that condition, I would always say keep taking your meds until your doctor tells you to stop.  Or I would say when you see that you are healed go to your doctor and have him confirm your healing.  I have been sick for five (5) weeks. At first it was the flu, that turned into a head cold, that turned into a sinus infection. Last Friday, 11th of August, I started having hiccups that would not leave. The hiccups lasted 5 days.  I also developed acid reflux. I was doing all that I could - rest, lots of water, and nasal spray. On Sunday, 13th of August, I was preaching and teaching, all, I mean all the sickness left but once I was done preaching and teaching about 30 min all the sickness would come back.  

On Monday in our cell group we were studying, Ephesians 6:10-20 putting on the whole armor of God, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood verse 12. In this bible study we are using the discovery bible approach. So, when it came time for us to tell what scripture we want to practice or live out this week, my scripture was verses 11, 13, and 14 stand firm! Again, while I was teaching this all my symptoms had left. After 30 minutes all the hiccups and acid would come back upon me.  This also happened on Sunday when a godly couple prayed for me all the symptom's left and again it came back. After our cell group I had gone home and I heard the voice of our Lord very clear, “Wendell, have you done all to stand against this attack from the enemy?” I said, “Yes Lord.” He is so kind, He said, “Yes in the spirit but not in the flesh.” At once I knew He wanted me to also stand with the help of doctors and medicine. So, I said, “OK Lord, I will go to the doctor.”I went and told Jen, she was so happy because she was so worried, and mad that I am so stubborn. And it was an answer to her prayers. So, we agreed for me to see a Doctor on Wednesday, since we had meetings and commitments all day on Tuesday but after that all my symptoms worsened.  Slowly it was becoming harder and harder for me to breathe. On Tuesday morning, I posted in 4 different church chat groups that I was in need of prayer.  Right after I posted the prayer request, my chest seized and all my air was cut off I was unable to breath for about 20-30 seconds, gasping for air. Just then Jen came into our room and I said we need to go to the hospital right now. The attacks kept coming all the way to the hospital. At one point I heard the voice of the Lord saying this is a "principality". 

At the Emergency Room of Ramos General Hospital | August 15, 2023

I was rushed into the emergency room. I underwent ECG (Electrocardiogram) to test for a heart attack or stroke but both came back negative. The doctor was amazed while saying I have the strength and heart rate of a 23-year-old man. (I ran marathons for 10 years). So, I thought if I am going to die or be attacked by a higher demon I am going to preach the gospel. There were about 8-10 people doctors and nursed in the ER so I preached the gospel and all called upon the Lord. Right away my hiccups left and my strength and breathing returned. All the symptom's left.  Then we went to the ENT Specialist for a checkup on my sinuses. While waiting for the doctor, I was able to pray for a man who is suffering stomach pain and his wife. As soon as the doctor arrived, he called me into his clinic, did an initial checkup and he ordered some more tests (Blood Chemistry, X-ray, Abdominal Ultrasound). Afterwards, I shared the gospel to him and his assistant and prayed for both of them, while doing so all symptoms are gone but then comes back! All medical tests results came back normal but Jen wanted me to stay overnight but I did not want to stay.  As we were paying our ECG and Blood Laboratory bills all the symptoms came back and I could not breath. So, I was admitted for more tests and to see a Gastroenterologist. 

Many people came to visit me at the hospital. Those who walked in the Holy Spirit would pray and my symptoms would leave then come back. The doctor would try something and it would work for about an hour then the hiccups would come back. This went on over and over again.  Poor Jen she was full of hope and then crash. It stopped working. Sometimes I would fast and that would work, then not. I would eat and the hiccups would leave and then come back. 

Sometime during the night of Wednesday Jen awoke to wind brushing past her cheeks she saw a cherubim flying around our room hovering over my body. Jen tried to video tape it but every time she look directly upon the flying Cherubim it would disappear and then reappear. 

By Thursday morning I was healed. All hiccups and heart burn were gone. It is now Saturday morning and I have been free of hiccups for more than two days.  Yes, I am taking my medicines. Yes, I am listening to my wife, and the Lord. I know the Lord will now make the enemy pay back 4-fold to Jen and I for such an attack.  

Does God allow these attacks? No, it is part of the struggle in Ephesians 6 and two kingdoms.  I believe the enemy Satan takes risks when he touches believers. These attacks sometimes come from humans doing spells and witchcrafts upon people.  Or sometimes it is me disobeying the Holy Spirit and me dropping my shield of faith. This I know the Lord loves me and He is for me.  Romans 8:28-29 God will work all these struggles for my good, so that I will look more like Jesus the Image of God. Over and over the word tells me my faith will be tested in this world we will have problems to see and prove just what Wendell believes. When my faith shines and grows it glorifies my God and King. If I fail that too will glorify God since I see my weakness confess and cry out. I want to grow in these areas of my life.  Oh, what joy Win/Win do you not see how wonderful these light and momentary afflictions are for you and me? Because of this attack upon Jen and I at least 15-20 people have come to Jesus by me giving the gospel. My Gastroenterologist began to cry as I led him to Jesus.  He said oh how I needed to hear this. He said he is carrying such heavy loads from an 8-year-old and 90-year-old patients not getting better but heading toward death. Do you see the glory? Would I go thru all the pain and suffering these past 6 weeks for this to happen? YES YES YES!!! And even if no one was saved or touched my life experience will never change the word of God nor His character of love and goodness.  Please do not feel condemned nor judged by these words of mine, your growth of faith and life is yours we all grow at different levels and times. My heart is that you and I shine no matter where we are in our faith and belief. No matter what situation of life we find ourselves in. Oh, dear ones I have two very close friends who were greatly used of God and walked in the Holy Spirit, both are now divorced one spouse continued on in the Lord the other two have gone back into the world. This wicked roaring lion will never, never stop, so we too will never stop. We will shine more brighter to all and proclaim Him who was totally pure, love and light and then took all my evil. To give me all of His righteousness, love, nature and gifts to be like Him and Love like Him.The hospital bill was $650.00 not bad if I live in the USA however here in the Philippines that is 65 days of wages.
