Greetings from the Pearl of the Orient Seas!

Happy New Year!

Congratulations you made it thru another year!  As I sit here listening to worship music thinking about what the Lord God wants to say to you and me through this praise letter.  I can say this is the best day of my life.

How can I?  Why would I?  What has happened?

Nothing really except I can say like Paul forgetting what lays behind I press on to know Him more! Today, I have the opportunity to grow closer to Him, to maybe - just maybe look like Him, Jesus who never changes.  That I do want.  Oh thank you!

God Jesus never changes…God never changes…Holy Spirit never changes...

I do not know about you but I want the only true God who is all-loving, kind, full of hope, full of mercy, full of life, full of forgiveness who never ever changes!  At times I will confess I am not like that at all, but I want to be, and I know the Holy Spirit also wants me to (repent) change my thinking so that as a tree of God's planting I bare righteousness love, and all fruit of Jesus and Holy Spirit. So daily I say oh Father prune me trim me so that people see you in me. :)

I have found three (3) weapons that are given to me to fight the enemy (satan), the liar. Jeremiah 31:7 Praises, Proclamations, and prayer. "For thus says the Lord, Sing aloud with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of nations. Proclaim, give praise, and say (pray) O Lord, save Your people, the remnant of Israel.”   Daily Jen and I say out loud to the heavens and all who will listen. We are a son and daughter of God!  We are Holy, blameless, and loved. We are light, we are His temple His priest and priestess! We are more than conquers! We are light and salt!  We are Holy Spirit-filled and led! And about 12 more but if you want we can send it to you or better ask the Holy Spirit to give you what to proclaim.  We also play worship music all the time, and we never stop praying.   All these things Jen and I do so that we live in James 1:3 consider it all joy when we walk in trials setbacks and people's problems!

I am not saying Jen and I do not hurt nor struggle at times, because we do, but not for long. We are learning to live by faith, set our eyes on Him (Jesus) who does not change. We are learning to live in John 10:10 abundant life, with and through our problems, disappointments unachieved goals, and desires!

Our pastor Bishop Frank Santos has been preaching on a living hope to give encouragement and life to our 5000 plus congregation.  Jen and I were asked to be recorded as a champions testimony to tell people how we lived through 2020.  I would like to tell you about our testimony.

When Covid19 hit and we were put on lockdown.  In the coming days, the American government sent me $1,200 to help us.  Jen and I discussed what to do with that money.  We took all of it and bought food and groceries for many families who were hurting badly because of the loss of jobs and income.

  1. In April, Jen's ex-husband cut his support for our two sons by 50% which paid for their schooling and other needs.

  2. Jen became sick and we had to visit the doctor 3 different times, plus buy medicines.

  3. Jen's computer started to die (her job is the majority income for our needs).  We had to buy a new desktop computer.

  4. A typhoon hit and we lost internet for 10 days plus electricity, so we gave all our frozen food away and bought a satellite internet, and ran a generator for Jen to keep working.

  5. Two out of the three businesses we started failed.

  6. Our air-conditioner stop working (the average temperature here is around 90 with humidity).

  7. We could not make our mortgage payments on a house and property we were buying so we had to let that go after Php 540,000 (or $10,000) paid.

In all of this Jen and I continued to give tithes, offerings, and helping widows and orphans.  Somehow we never lacked for anything…somehow we paid for all of our son's schooling, bought a new pc, aircon, and even got back half of our mortgage crazy! In December Jen and I sat down and looked at all our finances and what we had saved in the bank.  We decided to set aside the 2020 taxes that I owe, and then give the rest away.  I had kept in reserve enough money to buy a plane ticket home in case something bad happened to my family.  I heard the Lord say clearly trust me for that day and give all you have a way to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and encourage the widows with kids. Jen and I were able to bless so many people.  After Christmas Jen and I discussed the coming 2021 and how we could pay for a permanent visa here in the Philippines. The cost is $1,400.  We prayed and said we will start saving to pay for it.  The last week in December two different people on their own sent us a total of $1,300!  Jen and I know this is the Lord blessing us with the cost of the visa through these loving giving servants! Whoop whoop…

Testimonies:One of 100's of testimonies…In November our church planting team prays for people in our church before the service starts. One morning we prayed for a family of four, one daughter suffered from headaches as we prayed she was healed,  The dad had a swollen cheek with an infected tooth, we prayed and the pain went away, it was an infected wisdom tooth that needed to be pulled.  The dad went to the dentist to have it pulled and it was gone!  The other daughter needed a job we prayed and two weeks later she got a job working as an accountant for the Government.  And finally, the mom had a sore stomach and that was healed. One more as we were praying for another young lady in the church before the service the girl had a lump the size of a golf ball under her left ear, as we prayed one of our team members (Marty) told me she thought the Lord said put spit on the lump, so we did and we saw the lump go down and disappear.
