Welcome to our February 2020 Praise Letter! You are all in our prayers!
The Tale of Two Atheists
I was able to get in touch with a very good friend over FB and as we chatted, I asked if they wanted to receive our monthly Praise Letter. Their response was a big “No thank you.” They went on to say I have seen your website and have read your praise letter but we have different world views. They asked, “Do you REALLY see people healed?” and added “Please do not pray for me”. Well, I did not respond to that question for it is obvious that they think I am lying just to impress people or get them to send money. YES, many are healed all the time! Since they told me not to pray, I have DOUBLED my prayers for them. They cannot stop the love of God nor mine.
The 2nd Atheist's name is John (see the pic below) you need to hear the background to this amazing story…

Background of meeting John (The Atheist)
My youngest son, Eros, is a typical 15-year-old teenager trying to figure out who he is, what he believes, and going to church with mom and dad is not a top priority. By the Grace of the Lord, Eros said he would attend the Immersion Night on Thursday where Dr. Dan Hammer and his team from Seattle WA are ministering.
At the end of the night, everyone was invited to come up to be touched by the Lord, Eros went up because he wanted to be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues. Twice Eros fell down under the power of God and came up speaking in a new gift. This was so wonderful! Because of this, we were waiting for Eros to be through and the time was getting late 9:30 pm (Eros gets up at 4 am to get ready for school).
As we left the church, we hired a tricycle driver named John to take us home. When we arrived home Jen and Eros went inside to the house and I stayed outside to pay John the 60 pesos but I always give 200 pesos with a blessing or prayer from the Lord. As we talk, I could tell John is a really smart man who wanted to finish college but could not do so because he is working (as a tricycle driver) to feed his family a wife and 4 daughters. He is just 38 years old. I asked if he is a believer in God and he said “no”, he added that he is an atheist. As we talked the Lord showed me things in my heart about John and I told him how wonderful he is and how God had made him, and loves him very much. Then the Lord told me to give him 500 pesos (10 US Dollars) At that point John got really quiet, he said “you do not know how bad a day I have had! It has been very hot today and I have only had one passenger, I only have 60 pesos in my pocket. Then you give me 200 for driving you and your family home and now you handed me 500 pesos more! WHY?” I said, “while we were talking I heard the Lord say in my heart to give this to you and I try to always obey the promptings of the Lord.” John said, “I have never met someone like you.” I said, “well thank you but it is really the love of God inside me that makes me this way.” I then told him about the love of God how Jesus died for him paying the full price and becoming sin all the wicked and bad in the world so that we could become righteous and sons of God at Jesus's expense. I asked John if that made sense? John said yes is sure does I then asked would like this free gift God is offering to everyone who would just thank Jesus and ask for it? John said, “yes I would love to ask Him.” John bowed his head we prayed and he then became a son of God. I told John I know you will have many questions please come by anytime and bring your family.
"People don't care what you know, until they know that you care."- Wendell
We, as believers must let people know how much we love not with just words but deeds, and then partner with the Holy Spirit to bring God's love and good news to a lost world. My question for us is who are the John's in our lives that we just cannot see? almost daily I quote Isaiah 61 the Holy Wind of God is upon all of us to preach/share the good news, comfort those who mourn, bind up the brokenhearted, set the captives free. If you are like me at times I am so consumed with me - my time, my agenda, my wants, that I walk right past the people who need Jesus and me. So I pray, Holy Wind to help me to slow down today and see those who need the good news, to see mourning people, to see the brokenhearted and those who are captive by anything else but you. And then give me the wisdom boldness and love to step out and bring you to them.

Enjoying life with love...

This is Daddy Oscar's house which is 2-hour travel from our home. We stayed here overnight to have a bonding time with Daddy Oscar before he goes back to USA.

Mama Ursula's veggie garden is right in front of their house. We enjoyed fresh harvest tomatoes, eggplant, bitter melon and lemongrass. There are about 50+ ducks too!

Two old goats butting heads

We got to visit the ancestral house of Jen's paternal family.

This house was devastated by Mt. Pinatubo volcanic eruption in 1991.

Our praises and prayer request:
Eros is now growing in the Lord and hungering for righteousness
We have officially started two bible studies with non-believers attending.
Our church planting team has been assembled and we will start prayer walking in different areas of Tarlac city and providence. March 2020 pics and videos to follow.
We have decided not to pursue a permanent visa status but go for two months at a time because of lack of funds.
Jen turns 45 next month and it will be the first time in 5 years that I will be here to help celebrate.
