Praise letter take two!!!
I had just finished this letter and sent it into email for my wonderful wife to edit and add, but poof it went nowhere. So, I think wow Lord that must have been a great letter and weapon against the enemy!
Well, the letter started out as saying I know it is hot in America because it is June, however it seems like fall here in the Philippines since it is the rainy season. It rains everyday around 4pm now it still gets up into the 90 but it is more cool than hot...lol
Want to update you on “Princess” who we wrote about back in May. This 27-year old is growing in the Lord and is on FIRE! After going through EGR (Encounter God Retreat), she is now attending weekly Bible Study. Last Tuesday, I was talking to her and she told me a story about walking with her boyfriend down the road and they saw an old lady doing laundry. Princess said she felt that they should stop and pray for this woman. She asked her boyfriend to go and pray, however he is not mature enough to do that, so she did. Then Princess said “Daddy Wendell I did not tell her about Jesus nor give 2 Corinthians 5:21 to her”, I responded “Oh that is ok all the lady needed right now is Jesus and your love. You did a great job! Just think, 4 months ago you would not even thought of praying for her, nor would you have the boldness to go up and pray! Great job!!!”
In the last letter we told you about Jopay and her mother Norris who had demon problems. Praise God! Norris is free from all that junk, she just finished going to EGR and is now attending a weekly Bible Study. It is a joy to see her hunger for God and the tears of joy as she learns how much God really loves her and the potential, purpose, and destiny He is planning for her.
Be in prayer for Jen and I as we desire to plant many cell groups in the neighborhood of Jopay and her mother, such darkness there without light nor hope!!!
We need major prayer as Jen and I were asked to replace the late Pastor Vicky as lead elders in her tribe. What this means is we are now part of the 12 couple elders in TFBC. This means Jen and I will be a pastor to about 100 people. To be honest Jen and I never sought that office and really did not want it, However the Lord has told us both this is where He wants us to serve Him and these precious people. My son Andrew told me dad God usually demotes people to make them humble, He is now promoting you so that you can grow in being humble. Sounds like God to me. This is a volunteer position and so we will need wisdom on time management and being with family.
The cell groups we are involved in are growing weekly. We are not seeing much growth in Barangay Atioc where we are trying to plant a church. We have seen over 200 people healed and saved but that is all they want. They do not want to attend bible study, so please pray we find people who hunger for more than salvation or healing.Finally, we need prayer for us and our neighbors in Rosmont. In the past four months the electric company has steadily raised our rates and people cannot afford to pay these bills. Our bill was about 180 USD a month, today our bill is $300. Our usage has not gone up but the bill continues. We are looking for options for it is difficult in a 3rd world country and corruption is everywhere.I am still working on writing my book “I walk in Miracles” I am now on chapter 6.
