Rest and Restrengthened!

Yesterday Jen and I spent 10 hours ministering love to so many people. Wow! It was so rewarding but at the end of the day we were so tired.

I have heard it said but do not know who said it, "sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is rest, take a nap or just sit and relax."  This I have found to be true in my life, and a way to see if I am living for the Lord in ministry or for me. Three weeks ago, I was really being cranky and irritated about every little thing.  My team of church planters also noticed it and told my wife Jen their concerns.  I too was wondering why I was acting this way? The loving Holy Spirit told me to look up Expats/Missionary burn out.  Yep, as I read an article about how to adjust to a new culture the third warning was unexplained irritation at everything.  Wow that was good news/bad news for me.  I needed to take 1-2 weeks off and rest and readjust.  So that is what I did.  I am so happy to tell you all the groups I was involved in went on fine without me! Hallelujah! I was doing my calling well!  After one week of rest, I was fully changed and ready to go back to work with a new attitude and more aware of how to adjust.

Jen and I really want to thank you for your prayers! I believe if many of you were not praying, I would not have noticed nor recovered so quickly!  Our work in church planting is moving forward slowly; many are being healed and saved, however not many want to start studying the bible.  Pray for Pastor Dante that he would not get discouraged but keep the vision for Atioc alive.

I need much prayer as I believe the Lord would have me write an e-book on how I walk in miracles.  My goal is to start writing on the 1st of June and have it published by the end of August…we will see. :)

I want to close by posting a FB post by our neighbor Princess she is 27 and stuck in her walk with the Lord. About 6 weeks ago I started talking to her about the Lord and church planting. She thought I said tree planting lol.  In just six weeks the Lord is moving so powerfully in her life, I want you to read what she is learning and keep praying for Jen and I, and give if you think the Lord is telling you to do so.

I have two readers who last month thought they should send us support...well, well, well just last week we needed extra money and here it is! Does the Lord not go before us all and supply our needs? Thank you, thank you, thank you to these obedient friends.  To the Lord who blesses them and us in our time of need!

Devotions and Encouragements...

"WHO YOU SAY I AM"

Listening to praise and worship songs while working is my lifestyle...

But today it was something different, it was so amazing...

I paused from my work for a few moment, closed my eyes and enjoy the wonderful presence of my Creator.

Then a song played "Who You Say I am" by Hillsong, I asked God the same question and then He showed me a sparrow. I am not really sure what kind of birds they are, but the thought that they fly makes me smile 🙂

I asked my husband, Wendell Schultz what are the character of a sparrow, then he said many that resembled to who I am...

Power, creativity, community, simplicity, and empowerment are all symbols associated with the sparrow. Furthermore, the meanings and interpretations of the sparrow bird are good, such as kind, caring, tenacious, and industrious.

Sparrows are also symbols of freedom, especially as pertains to the freedom of the soul to choose between good and evil.

Matthew 10:29-31

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.

30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

PROVISION...

“Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” (1 Timothy 5:8 NIV)

Money isn't the only thing that can be given. It refers to any type of assistance required, whether physical, emotional, financial, or otherwise. This may involve paying a family member's bills or allowing them to live with you if necessary.

The Old and New Testaments share a stewardship principle that starts with “the self” according to 2 Thessalonians 3:10, and extends outwardly from there.

God intended from the beginning for one's immediate family to be the first level of obligation beyond oneself, followed by one's extended family, church, society, state, and finally the world.
