"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants." Psalm 116:15
Three people I know have passed away in the last seven days,
First...
Susan, a wonderful woman of God. I have known for 40 years and went to college with her. Susan passed away from cancer which she has battled for 15 years. I was very sorry to hear that she died. I had been praying for her daily, and by the grace of God was able to pray over her on FB Messenger. I will see her again.
Second...
Pastor Vicky Valdez passed away on Wednesday from complications due to her covid vaccine. I have known Pastor Vicky for almost 7 years as a true servant of the Lord but left too soon. Vicky was only 60 years old. I will see her again.

This is Dr. Pastor Victoria "Vicky" G. Valdez, born July 28, 1960 and died May 26, 2021

Giving the Gospel to friends and relatives of the late mother of Sally, who are attending her funeral service.
Third...
Danny died yesterday. I have only known him for 5 days. I think he was in his 40's. Last Sunday (May 23, 2021, Jen, Church Planting team and I went to a home to expel demons and give the gospel to the whole family. It took about an hour but all went well, as we were leaving the youth named Jopay, the niece of Danny asked us to go and pray for her Uncle who was sick with a cough and fever. We went into his home, prayed for him, the fever left instantly and we gave the gospel. Danny said yes and turned his life over to the Lord.On Thursday (May 27, 2021) Danny was displaying demons so the Church Planting team was planning on going to visit him but he was taken to the hospital and died the next day. Wow I was thinking what would have happened if Jopay did not ask us to visit her uncle? I will see Danny again.
I am always amazed at the timing of the Lord. My daily prayer is to follow Him closely and obey what I am asked to do. I do not understand why these things happen in people's lives? It is at these times I quote the scriptures I was made by you and for You. and all my days are in your hands. Those of you who are reading this letter, my prayer is that you will meet these three people in heaven. If you are not sure, I would love to talk with you!! :)
Please keep praying for Jen, CPT and myself as we work the works of our Lord on a daily basis. I believe if you keep holding the rope, Jen and I will gladly go down into the well.

THE SILENT POWER OF SITTING BESIDE SOMEONE
“Then they sat down on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights, with no one speaking a word to him, for they saw that his pain was very great.” Job 2:13 (NASB)
Job was going through a lot of grief, with horrible and permanent losses shaking him to his core. He was in a pitiful sight, sitting in ashes.
His friends, Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar came to minister to him. They cried aloud, tore their robes, and sprinkled dust on their heads (Job 2:12), all common expressions of grief in their culture. They then sat with him in silence for seven days before saying anything to comfort him.
The past days we were grieving for the sudden loss of our Tribe Leader, Dra. Pastora Victoria Valdez, what we needed more than anything was to know that we were not alone. When we felt alone, we are tempted to lose hope. Remember that isolation is where Satan comes and take us to the stairs of despair. But when someone offers to sit alongside us in our hurts, we can find comfort in the silent power of people.
By just simply sitting beside someone who is suffering is often the best way to show God’s love to them.
If we read further in the book of Job, we’ll see how his friends mess up their words. It is so easy to say something unintentionally offensive to a grieving person, even when we’re trying to help.
When someone is in pain, many of us are not sure of what to say or do. It is indeed encouraging to learn and live this biblical example of merely sitting beside someone to comfort them. This is something that we can all learn to realize. When we sit alongside someone in their suffering, God will use His quiet power to remind them that they are not alone, but seen and loved.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NASB

REST...

THE GIFT OF REST
Many people seems to be "on the go" and forget the word REST 🙂
Let me share with you this statement which I was able to dig into my notes while listening, reading and watching several videos of preachers and missionaries for so many years now 🙂
I don't remember who said this statement, but I would like to thank him/her for it 🙂 because it is something that helped me a lot until now...
"REST is a weapon and you need to see it as a WEAPON"
"REST is a SWORD in your hand and you can put anxiety, lack of peace, unrest, worry and fear to DEATH"
What does that look like to see REST as a SWORD?
"It means you can CUT AWAY from your circumstances ANYTHING that you don't need to AFFECT YOU WRONGLY"

As faithful believers of God, more often we tend to act like Martha, thinking about the 'many things' we can do for God instead of just LOVING HIM FROM OUR HEARTS. It's so SIMPLE yet we try to make it so complicated. Paul warned us about being led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.
The main thing we need to remember about our RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST is to KEEP IT SIMPLE 🙂
"But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ."
2 Corinthians 11:3 (NASB)
