Hello and Happy Hot Christmas season from the wonderful Philippines!

Sorry it is the 9th of December, as Jen and I slow down to send you this email, greeting, and wishes of Blessed Christmas!

Maligayang Pasko (Filipino translation for "Merry Christmas")

Rebuilding of the Home | Update

I have not been back to Edward and Angie’s home for two weeks, I wanted to send you the finished work of the home you helped restore after the Typhoon.  Maybe by the next praise letter.

GOOD NEWS! Jen will be interviewed by the USA Embassy here in Manila on March 30, 2023. Please include her in your prayers.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

You may ask why have Jen and I been so busy?  Well like you the holiday seasons seems to increase demands of giving, visiting and our presences.  Here in the Philippines many churches have church service every day from December 1st until December 25th.  At TFBC we have created a Christmas village for people to visit after the church service every night. This is a great opportunity for visiting people to get a free meal.  It also allows some of our tribe to sell their goods, and make some extra money for Christmas.  See all the pictures below. Now you can see why Jen and I are so busy. Service every night, and it seems like Christmas parties every weekend.  Jen and I are hoping when Joshua Santos takes over for His Dad Bishop Santos next year, he will do away with the tribe thinking and we will all be one church.  This will allow Jen and I to have less responsibilities as pastors of 150 plus people.

Privilege to Preach...

On December 5th I was given the privilege to preach the evening message.  I am sure Jen will tag the video below. The title of the message is Are you Alive Spiritually? or a Christian Zombie? Jen and my cell groups have been studying what it means to be alive Spiritually and it has been amazing the response the people have given.  Many have come alive wanting copies of the teaching, inviting their family and friends, telling us it is the highlight of their week to come and study!  Some of our leaders take more copies home to share with their family members and to teach their cell groups these wonderful scriptures.  I have attached my 3rd Zombie lesson for you.  I hope it feeds you and gives you something new to think about.

HOW TO GROW FRUIT IN OUR LIVES (Spiritually Alive or Christian Zombie Pt 3)

Review Lesson 1:  All men, women, and children are born spiritually dead.  This is called the old self Romans 6:6 because of being spiritually dead we were cut off from Love and became naturally Self centered, self serving, self religious, devoid of love and in desperate need of love and approval. Col 1:21 All people are alienated from God, hostel in our thinking, and doing evil deeds in our heart and actions. Lesson 2 Man could not make himself spiritually alive so God did it for all who would believe.  Romans 8:3Ephesians 1:13 When a person hears the gospel (God loves them and gives His son as a ransom and payment to bring us back into God's family, blessings.) this happens by a person believes the gospel and receives the free gift given to them by faith and prayer. In a simple prayer a person leaves the darkness, and becomes : Holy, Righteous, Blameless, a son of God, light, a Temple of God, a priest, an ambassador, a tree of righteousness. More than a conqueror, all the promises and blessings are now ours since we have been put into Jesus the Christ. What happens next? After a person is born again? Gen 3:28 What was God's first commandment to Adam and Eve? We are commanded to be FRUITFUL,  We are commanded to MULTIPLY to Fill the earth, and to SUBDUE the earth.    Why would God command Adam and Eve to subdue the earth if there is no sin and perfect harmony with everything? John 15:8 Jesus tells us how to bring glory to the Father. We are commanded to bear much FRUIT. What will we prove to the world if we bear much fruit? We will be called Jesus DISCIPLES. Matthew 7:18 Can a bad tree produce good fruit?  NO  Can a good tree produce bad fruit? NO Matthew 12:3 What must happen for a tree to produce good fruit? We must make the tree GOOD. Romans 7:4 If we are to make good fruit, we must first die to the LAW (613) and 10 commandments  We must be joined to JESUS so we can bear fruit for GOD. Col 1:10 How do we produce fruit? We grow fruit by doing GOOD WORKS.  Name some good works in people's lives? Hebrews 13:15 What is a fruit we can give to God through Jesus?  the fruit of our LIPS (worship, praise, kind words) Ephesians 5:8-9  We all were formerly DARKNESS but now we are called LIGHT in the Lord Jesus. We are commanded to WALK in the light. As we walk in the light we will see three types of fruit. The fruit of GOODNESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS, and TRUTH. Gal 5:22-23 What are the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit? LOVE JOY PEACE PATIENCE KINDNESS GOODNESS FAITHFULNESS GENTLENESS SELFCONTROL. What is the fruit of Love?  1 Cor 13:1-8  Love is PATIENT, Love is KIND, Love is not JEALOUS, Love is not PRIDEFUL,  Love is not RUDE, Love is not SELF SEEKING, Love is not provoked to SIN, Love keeps no record of WRONGS,  Love does not rejoice in UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, Love rejoices with the TRUTH. Love never FAILS. Love BEARS all things, HOPES all things, BELIEVES all things, Love ENDURES all things. Love NEVER fails. Romans 13:8 Owe nothing  to all people, except  to LOVE them, for If we love people we have FULFILLED the law.  Romans 14:17 Once we are born again we are transferred into God's Kingdom which means we are made RIGHTEOUS, we have JOY and PEACE, through the HOLY SPIRIT. How do we grow fruit in our lives, and make the tree good? Luke 8:5-8 background Luke 8:11-15  What is the seed? THE WORD OF GOD. VS12 Who comes to steal the word or take it away from our hearts?  THE DEVIL.  Why does the devil come to take away the word?  The WORD changes us to become like JESUS.  Who is the word of God?  JESUS vs 13 How does a person hear the word of God? With JOY  Why do people  fall away from the word of God? NO ROOT  What causes them to fall away? TEMPTATIONS. vs 14 What are three things that choke out God's word in our lives?  WORRIES, RICHES, and PLEASURES.  Do these types of people show fruit in their lives?  YES So if we show fruit what is the problem? NOT MATURE fruit.  Why is this so evil? immature fruit can NEVER reproduce. vs 15 what two ways must we receive and believe the word of God?  an HONEST and GOOD heart. What two actions must we do to grow fruit?  HOLD fast and PERSEVERANCE. 2 Peter 1:5-8 What are the eight qualities named here?  Diligence FAITH, Moral EXCELLENCE, Knowledge, Self CONTROL, Perseverance, godliness,  Brotherly KINDNESS, and LOVE. vs8 If these QUALITIES are in you and growing you will never be USELESS, nor Un-FRUITFUL vs9 if we do not have these qualities inside us we are BLIND, Short SIGHTED, we have forgotten our PURIFICATION from our former sins.

Just one testimony...

Last Wednesday:  Wendell was so tired from every night and every day going and going, I was going to stay home from Sambang Gabi and rest, Jen was going to the daily service at TFBC without me.  At about 4pm the Lord clearly told me to go with Jen to the Service tonight. I of course obeyed and after the service Jen and i were outside our Christmas booth visiting people.  The Holy Spirit highlighted a young lady Grace to me. She is 20 years old,  I told Jen I think the Lord wants me to prophesy over this young lady, would you please go with me.  Grace's tribal pastor was also with Grace.  We all said words of life and encouragement over Grace and I thought we were done, but I kept hearing in my spirit suicide. I pushed the thought aside twice but then i just said to Grace have you been thinking of suicide lately? That was the question that broke her, the darkness and sadness in her eyes left and we could see the Holy Spirit rushing in!!!

Our prayers and thanksgiving!

Thank You, Lord, for our spiritual growth in Jen and I, and in our cell groups!  For Angie and Edward’s home being finished in just 3 months. For boldness to speak and preach the gospel, and for the right words and timing of the Lord.

Jen and I want to bless you with a very Merry Christmas and a fruitful New Year!!!
