Grace, Mercy and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I just love that greeting my soul says YES!

It is the end of September and I wanted to get a jump on our praise newsletter.  I am sitting here in my office playing Christmas music and having the outside door open since it is still somewhat cool outside.  Jen and I are praying that you are full of the Holy Spirit, life and health at the reading of this letter.

Got Sick...Got Healed!

About four weeks ago, Jen became sick with fever, sore throat and achiness that lasted about two weeks.  I am the worst of nurses when it comes to helping sick people, but by the goodness of the Lord I was able to serve Jen and nurse her back to health.  The fever left after two or three days. She lost her appetite and would only eat one spoon of soup or rice.  So, as I was taking her dishes downstairs I thought this was a waste of food, so I finished off her supper.  I know I can hear your thinking well that was dumb or stupid thing to do.  Well, looking back I can now agree with you, however at that time I thought I would not get sick.  Yes, I came down with all that Jen had, I also lost my sense of smell, was achy for about two weeks and slept 12 hours a day.  On a good side I lost 14 lbs, Jen had diarrhea but I never did.  No, we did not go to a doctor.  I do not know about America but here in the Philippines everything is covid.  I looked up our symptoms and none were the covid except loss of smell.  So, Jen and I just self-quarantined ourselves, drank lots of water, and rested.  Jen is fully recovered.  Me, I am about 97%. So, if we have been coming to mind, that is why.

We had a 41-year old pastor die in 5 days of covid, he has left behind a wife and two small children. So, our Bishop and staff decided to shut down all face to face meetings for 3 weeks.  Jen and I did the same with our Cell groups, but tried to keep our zoom meetings going just to encourage our tribe. This time for me has been a struggle since I am an outdoor-type person who loves to walk, work out and pray for the people on the streets. I have learned much about our Lord and see growth in me.

God sent people!

Just today I got up at 4am since I was feeling better, and full of energy. Sitting on our deck talking to the Lord, I said Lord please send people by our home so that I might pray for them.  Sure enough, first Princess one of our tribe members came by walking her dog and I was able to encourage her with Eph 1:4 the only verse we need for a huge shield of faith. God says He chose us, He made us Holy Blameless and He also loves us.  Who or what can top that? Pandemic? Sickness? Trials? Emotions? Feelings?  People? No! Wow! Talk about life giving to me.

Next came Elder, a man of about 45 years old who was limping as he walked down the street.  I said hi do you have pain?  Elder said oh yes, me so excited to see answers to my prayers said do not go anywhere I will be right down.   After three commanding prayers the pain had dropped to almost zero, I then gave the one verse gospel 1 Cor 5:21 Elder gladly accepted his healing and the Lord who died for him.  Whoop whoop it is not even 7 am I am so excited.

Pray for complete healing for this almost 62-year old body, I am hoping that the CPT church planting team will be able to start going back out starting this Saturday.

Praise of Thanksgiving

More PRAISES: Our Tribe is growing spiritually, and physically.  It is so exciting to see our fellow workers come alive in the Holy Spirit and want to know the Lord more and to reach their family and neighbors with the gospel!  I want to thank you again for praying, it is a blessing for Jen and I and the Filipino people we work with.Thank you for those who financially support us, I do not know what we would do without your giving!  I would ask not those who have given in the past but you who are praying about a ministry to support - Jen and I need an extra $750.00 by the end of February 2022 to make the last payment on my permanent visa. Once I have this visa it will be much much easier for me to move around the Philippines and go back and forth to America and other places.  Also, once I have this visa the American embassy will give Jen a visitor’s visa to come to America to VISIT. We hope in the next two years.  Not much else from my side of this letter ill turn it over to Jen love you all much and thank you, thank you thank you again for your love, support and prayers!!

Since we were on self-quarantined for almost a month, we have no photos to post on this Praise Letter...but you will be seeing a lot next issue of our Praise Letter!
